What is Geocell System?
Three dimensional, eco-friendly erosion control and soil stabilization system
KRT® Geocell Cellular Confinement system is a three-dimensional, perforated and textured honeycombed high quality soil stabilization and reinforcement solution that provides erosion control to unstable slopes subjected to surface erosion due to hydraulic and gravitational forces. The System prevents earth loss due to water and wind by it’s superior three dimensional confinement effect on slope surfaces.
Geocell system provides fast, economical and durable solutions for ground strengthening (stabilization) on weak soils and erosion control on slopes, shoreline protection systems and channels. By using tendons, Geocells serves as a geommebrane protection system allowing sustainable vegetation over impermeable liner systems.

We use UV resistant, high quality HDPE blend in our geocell manufacturing process to ensure long-lasting performance.

Specially designed rhomboidal textured frictional surface prevents the loss of material in the cell by increasing the adhesion between the cell wall and the infill material. Perforated geocell walls allow rapid drainage of water between cells and propagation of the plant root system.
Our Geocells have a special ultrasonic welding system with superior strength that does not break even under extreme loads.

Main Functions
Interconnected 3D cellular web of the Geocell system enhances the performance of the soil by confining and stabilizing.
Geocell system allows sustainable vegetation on slopes up to 45° and higher with its 3D cellular structure. It prevents errosion caused by surface runoff and sheet flow. Three dimensional network confines the infill material and prevents lateral and vertical movement of the infill under concentrated loads or spread loads.

Even on steep slope surfaces, cellular confinement system prevents the valuable infill material on the slope surface from being lost due to environmental factors such as gravity, rain, water, wind.
GEOCELL
Erosion Control System
Reduces or eliminates the formation of rills, one of the main causes of soil erosion.
The system protects infill soil on steep slopes and keeps it in place. Water in the cells penetrate through the holes of the Geocell in the topsoil, which promotes deep root growth and provides a reinforced vegetative environment.
Small riprap material and rocks that can be eroded by the wave action can be safely confined with Geocell system. Consequently, the system ensures that vegetated, permeable, and armored slope surfaces remain stable and functional over time.
