Geocell Infill Protection
- The three-dimensional structure of the Geocell restricts the down slope movement of the selected infill material.
- The 3D confinement system prevents the movement and loss of the material by surrounding the selected infill material, such as anchored containers on the slope surface.
- Geocell system provides superior resistance to sheet flow erosion. The system controls the formation of rills and gully and prevents loss of soils by erosion in the areas where there is concentrated flow over the slope surface.
- Stabilization of the slope surface allows construction of steeper slopes, which results in less carbon emission and use of land.
- Increases stability of vegetation on slopes by interlocking with the vegetative root zone.
- The geocell system provides efficient slope stabilization and structural confinement of granular materials such as sand, gravel and larger rocks or stones.
- When the cells filled with concrete, it transforms into a flexible concrete mat with built-in expansion joints.
- Provides additional stability by integrating tendons on steeper slopes and embankments or when a geomembrane or hard soil/rock surface prevents anchoring with stakes.
